Challenge

Tarkett acquired SYSPRO early in its startup and used it mainly as an order processing and financial solution.  As Tarkett grew at a rate of 20-30% per year, producing and installing over 400 artificial playing surfaces (e.g. football, soccer) per year, it became absolutely necessary to integrate the manufacturing process and gain better insight and control on the production cost.

 

Solutions

The solution was to add to the existing SYSPRO ERP Software configuration to introduce additional modules to manage planning, production flow and even project-level costing and billing.

• Lot and serial-based manufacturing control to ensure proper selection of dye-lots and assist with sequencing of field installation.

The resulting solution very much tailored for Tarkett’s operations has been since deployed throughout the Tarkett Sports group across multiple global entities, each benefiting from a clear understanding of the cost of each project.
